While posting this article, I'm staying in Tak province in the north of Thailand. I'm here with three of my colleagues. We are pleased to be here since this is part of the prince Sirindhorn's solar cell project for far north people. The area where we are staying right now is very nice - the climate is so great, in fact I'd like to stay here for a little longer for vacation.
We hope that the teachers will use knowledge to teach there students, so that those people would have better life in the future. ;)

I have already been IPST
We are IPST : 8th is the title of a special semiar for new IPST members. It was held in 30 Oct - 1 Nov at Phurimat Resort and Spa in Rayong Province. The event was organized by the human resource department (HR). There were many fun activities to do during the program. There were 21 persons who are new IPST members. We were divided into two groups and we had to play games together. I had a great time there, somehow I felt like I had a good short vacation ;). During the program, two senior directors of the institute gave a talk for new IPST members. Both talks have inspired me to love the work more than before. The work we are doing here at the IPST has so much impact on Thailand basic education, so I'm proud of what I'm doing for my country. This progam has made me feel like "I've already been IPST". Work vs Study
Three weeks has passed since I started working here at the IPST. Everything is going well. Mostly I just observed the work. Now my boss has assigned some work to me already. That means I will probably be busy from now on. There are two main projects that I have to do. One is about development of a book about Design and Technology Education for Senior High School students. The other is about a research project regarding evaluating a curriculum that had been used in the last few years. Both projects have to be done within one year which is by June 2010. Since I am a new member of this division, I will have to take some time to learn it and get used to it. However I think that it's not so hard to work for this division as I've seen something for three weeks already now. Overall so far it's good to be here...but somehow it's too early to say whether this is what I really like to do.
I remember that oneday, when I was a PhD student, I was thinking of working at the same time as doing PhD, in fact, I asked my teachers at the Uni about whether I could work while studying. The answer I got from my teachers was that "you can't work right now, you should finish your study first". I'm now realized that why my teachers told me like that. Even though I don't have much work to do these days but I feel tired everyday after work. So I thought that if I worked while studying, it would be very difficult for me to do both things at the same time - I may not get my PhD done! I have to thank for my teachers for thier advice ;).
I don't have much time now to talk about things having been happened with me during the last few weeks...so please be patient...I will come back to share my work experience later...perhaps this weekend...;)

Home-town visit
Immediately, after my PhD study has been done, I went back to visit my parents in up-country. Going back to my home-town this time has been different from before since I'm not a student anymore, but rather I'm a real adult person now. The main purpose of going back to my village this time was to to thanks for the support and encouragement from my family. I was in tears when I met mom and dad :(, however the tear was not about negative sides, but rather positive :). I was like celebrity in the town, heheheh.
Although the main purpose was to visit the family, I also gave a speech at my old school that I was a student at secondary level. My intension about giving a speech there was to encourage students in the rural area. This is a good way of doing something useful for my hometown. I also donated some books for the school and also gave some gifts for the students. The old school visit was triumphant. Most of the teachers in the school used to teach me and they could certainly remember me. Some photos from the school visit can be found below :)
Right now, I'm back to the new workplace where I will be working for from now on. The first day of working at the new institute was good. Somehow it's a bit boring since I did not do anything much apart from setting up my computer and dealing with the contract. The boss was not there today. He has gone to a seminar outside of the institute. Even though it's new for me to work at this institute, however I knew all the members at the division where I work for already. So, it's not too strange to me to be here. In fact, it's fun to be with new colleagues.
I hope that my new work place will be the right place for me...my intension is that I will do the best I can, hopefully what I will be doing would contribute my country!
